Job Description

Job Summary: This position is for a Data Analyst working for the Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) FORCE FinOps team supporting efficient cost management of both cloud and on-premise workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau, Quicksight, and other data visualization tools
Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from various databases and data warehouses
Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data processes to support business intelligence and analytics
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions
Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization

Basic Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Business Intelligence tools, such as Tableau or QuickSight
Strong proficiency in SQL and data querying
Experience with data visualization, reporting, and dashboard development
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets
Demonstrated effective oral and written communicator to both management and technical staff
Demonstrated ability to team across organizational boundaries and geographical locations to collaborate with and influence others
Experience with accomplishing strategic, objectives, clearly communicating ideas, delivering instructions, and following through on actions

Desired skills

Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure
Experience with FinOps and AWS and/or Azure cloud billing
Experience with programming languages, such as Python
Familiarity with Splunk, such as developing Search Processing Language (SPL) queries and dashboards
Certification in data analysis or a related field, such as Certified Business Intelligence Analyst (CBIA)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings effectively to various audiences
B.S. degree in a technical discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Cyber Security, or Information Technology)
Experience with the Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, SCRUM, etc.) and Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA)
Familiarity with automation, DevOps, and full stack engineering.

Ability to work remotely

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
