Job Summary:

We are seeking a Workday Payroll Subject Matter Expert (SME) with strong hands-on experience in end-to-end configuration, testing, and delivery of Workday Payroll solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep functional and technical knowledge of Workday Payroll, the ability to work independently, and a proven track record of delivering complex payroll projects with accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the configuration, testing, and deployment of Workday Payroll solutions with minimal supervision.

Analyze business requirements and design scalable payroll configurations that meet compliance and organizational needs.

Manage end-to-end payroll setup including earnings, deductions, tax setup, costing, pay groups, and retro pay.

Perform system testing, regression testing, and UAT to validate payroll results and ensure accuracy.

Partner with HR, Finance, and Technical teams to ensure seamless integration with Time Tracking, Benefits, and Financials.

Troubleshoot payroll issues and provide expert-level support for payroll processing and post-payroll activities.

Drive process improvement initiatives, ensuring best practices are followed within Workday Payroll configuration.

Prepare test cases, documentation, and user guides for payroll processes and configuration changes.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations.

Mentor junior team members and provide functional guidance on Workday Payroll modules.
