C-17 Sustaining Engineering Integration & Safety Manager

Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for a Manager for C-17 Engineering Integration and Safety to join their team in Long Beach, CA. This first level manager will lead the Boeing Global Services (BGS) C-17 Engineering Integration and Safety team. C-17 Engineering Integration and Safety is responsible for Project Engineering, System Safety, Technical Publications support, and Sustaining Engineering integration support.
This leader must be able to build and maintain relationships across the engineering disciplines, technical publications, depots, field engineering, logistics, supply chain and SPO. A successful candidate will demonstrate and model inspirational leadership through team building, collaboration, strong communication and written skills, customer orientation with eye towards first time quality delivered on time while helping to enable the C-17 Engineering to meet their organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for integration across all engineering disciplines, project management, supply chain, technical publications & provisioning with a focus on supportability & logistics
- Leads Project Management, Systems Safety, and Integration utilizing technical & schedule performance metrics & EVM
- Ensure supply chain support
- Execute special projects with full RAA
- Establish & improve processes with disciplined Systems Engineering approach to address contractual requirements & program business needs
- Most importantly, lead, develop and motivate employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degrees in Engineering or related technical degree
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with C-17 Sustaining Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in leading design or repair design engineering projects on large military/commercial aircraft
- Experience with Engineering and Change Processes
- Experience with configuration control processes
- 2+ years of experience Leading or managing multi-disciplined technical teams
- Experience of working with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Experience with Systems Safety practices
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Project Planning, Scheduling, Project Management or related experience
- Experience interfacing directly with suppliers and the United States Air Force (USAF).
- Experience working with C-17 System Program Office (SPO)
