DevOps Engineer (Candidates with Financial Domain- Locals to New York and New Jersey)

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Unix/Linux systems and cloud infrastructure to support mission-critical platforms in the financial services domain. This role will involve building and maintaining secure, scalable, and compliant cloud-based infrastructure while enabling efficient development and deployment
You ll work closely with software engineering, infrastructure, security, and compliance teams to ensure high availability, performance
Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Unix/Linux-based systems in both on-prem and cloud environments (Azure primarily).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. - strong plus
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for rapid and secure application delivery (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
• Support and monitor containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (or other orchestration tools).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring tasks using Shell, Bash, or Python.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and business continuity efforts.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
• 3+ years working with cloud platforms (preferably AWS or Azure) in a production environment.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation.
• Proficient in scripting (Shell, Bash, Python).
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in financial institutions, fintech, or other regulated sectors.
