Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned SAP AMS Delivery Manager with over 15 years of experience in leading and managing SAP Application Management Services projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience handling large-scale SAP support engagements, managing global delivery teams, ensuring SLA adherence, and driving continuous service improvement for enterprise clients. This role will be based onsite in the USA and requires strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of SAP AMS projects, ensuring adherence to contractual SLAs, KPIs, and service quality standards.
• Manage multimodule SAP environments (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, HCM, SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, Basis, etc.).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client for all AMS-related services.
• Coordinate with offshore, nearshore, and onsite delivery teams to ensure seamless support operations.
• Oversee incident management, problem management, change management, and service request handling.
• Drive process improvements, automation opportunities, and knowledge management within the AMS team.
• Manage budgets, resource allocation, utilization, and financial reporting.
• Conduct weekly/monthly governance meetings, status reporting, and performance reviews with client stakeholders.
• Support transition planning and execution from implementation to steady-state support.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices, security standards, and internal audit requirements.
• Mentor and lead cross-functional SAP support teams and manage performance and professional development.
• Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to support continuous improvement and strategic roadmaps.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 15 years of experience in SAP with at least 8+ years in AMS delivery management roles.
• Proven track record of delivering large SAP AMS programs for global enterprises.
• Strong understanding of SAP ECC, S/4HANA, SAP Cloud Products, and integration with third-party systems.
• Experience managing complex support engagements across multiple time zones and geographies.
• Proficiency in ITIL-based service delivery models and associated tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
• Experience in working with onsite-offshore models and managing multi-vendor environments.
• Ability to identify and implement automation, productivity tools, and proactive monitoring solutions.
• Exposure to contract management, renewals, and client relationship management.
Preferred Qualifications:
• SAP Certification in any core module (e.g., FI, MM, SD, or S/4HANA) or Solution Manager
• PMP / ITIL Foundation or Intermediate Certification
• Domain experience in Aviation Fuel Distribution, Supply Chain, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Retail, Pharma, Utilities, or Automotive is a plus
• Experience with cloud-based SAP services (e.g., SAP BTP, SAP Analytics Cloud, SuccessFactors, Ariba)
