Job Title: Infotainment Test Engineer
Duration: Long Term
Location: Plano, TX
Test Engineer
- The Test Engineer will primarily be responsible for testing the Infotainment System along with their team of Engineers. The duties will include creating test specifications and executing tests.
Responsibilities:
Testing of an Infotainment System.
- Understanding of requirements and system
- Perform test specifications development, test environment setup, and test execution
- Conduct defect reporting, test reporting, and status communication
- Support and work with remote teams
- Interact with Function Owners, Domain Experts, Test Architects, and the Development teams
- Usage of Automotive tools for CAN/FlexRay/Ethernet communication
Skills Required:
3+ years of experience in the Automotive domain, specifically in the Infotainment domain
- Mobile App testing knowledge needed
- A strong understanding of the mobile development lifecycle
- Test case creation for iOS and Android Devices
- Cross-platform compatibility testing, Mobile device feature integration knowledge
- Experience hands-on working on infotainment features like Navigation, Voice User Interface, HMI, and connectivity
- Strong experience in writing test specifications based on specifications and from user perspective, efficient and excited about test execution, and capable of setting up test environments
- Experience working with JIRA and JIRA tools like Zephyr, Appium
- Good understanding of protocols like CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, A2B, USB
- Experience using Automotive tools like Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, and CANape
- Experience using Automotive Hardware like Vector VN box and peak CAN hardware
- Should have ASPICE process and Agile methodology experience
- Need good communication and interpersonal skills
- Should have strong knowledge of Jira
- Support defect management discussions
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor's or Masters's Engineering Degree in Electrical/Electronic or a related stream
