Join our Team as a Product Compliance Engineer - Energy Products!

The Role:

We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Product Compliance Engineer who brings enthusiasm and expertise to the table. In this role, you'll collaborate with various teams to ensure product compliance with industry standards. This role involves assessing product compliance, creating compliance plans, and drafting compliance attestations, while staying updated on global regulations and standards.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Utilizing a proactive systems engineering approach to problem solving.
  • Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing teams to assess product compliance.
  • Serve as main point of contact for teams involved in Energy Product compliance and regulatory reporting for industrial warehouse products.
  • Track regulatory compliance changes. Understand and communicate potential impact to Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) products.
  • Work closely with the Regulatory Compliance Manager, engineering, and development teams to ensure compliance is implemented through project lifecycles for TMHNA products.
  • Respond to compliance enquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Stay current with global and domestic standards and regulations, collaborating with colleagues in the United States, Japan, and Europe.
  • Provide guidance for new product development teams. Participate in design reviews for risk analyses and test plans.
  • Works with cross-functional groups to support a Lead Engineer and/or Program Manager.
  • Work with external suppliers and outside professional NRTLs to assure industry compliance.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support compliance activities.
  • Keep manager informed of progress, changes, priorities, issues, and project status.
  • May recommend changes in project direction in response to dynamic regulatory requirements.


What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering - Preferred in Electrical, Electrical Systems or mechanical.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in compliance, preferably in a manufacturing or corporate environment.


What Sets You Apart:
  • Experience in Energy Products compliance with the ability to research and interpret regulations in North America as well as other countries.
  • Familiar with one or more of the following: UL583, UL2271, UL2580, UL2267, NOM and IEC 62619.
  • Experience with technical documentation such as BOM, schematics, and drawings.
  • Strong organization, research, planning abilities, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with phase gate development processes.
  • Familiarity with Product data management PDM/PLM system.
  • Ability to present technical material to a technically diverse audience.
  • Competent in applicable PC applications.


Where and When You'll Work:
  • This is an in-person role located at our Greene, NY office-ideal for those who thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment!
  • Travel up to 10% - domestic and international


What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:

Salary - $87,990 - $150,933 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate's education and experience.
