Description
TEKsystems is seeking a Critical Environment Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of Building Automation Systems (BAS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and UPS systems across mission-critical facilities. This role is ideal for candidates with strong technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, and a passion for maintaining high-performance environments.
Key Responsibilities:
System Operations & Monitoring:
  • Operate and maintain BAS, EPMS, and UPS platforms
  • Monitor system alarms and telemetry to ensure safe, efficient operations
  • Conduct trend analysis and generate reports to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Perform inspections and validations across electrical, mechanical, and control systems

Technical Expertise:
  • Navigate BAS and EPMS platforms to verify equipment status and execute approved procedures
  • Apply ION programmability and analytics in PME to enhance system insights
  • Understand interactions between central controllers and distributed devices

Compliance & Documentation:
  • Ensure all operations meet safety and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, changes, and performance metrics

Top Skills Needed:
Electrical systems in critical infrastructure environments
BAS and EPMS operations
Power panel and UPS systems
OSHA or NFPA 70E certification
Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in critical environment operations or facilities management
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers or industrial settings
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including rotating or 12-hour shifts
  • OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E certification required

This is a Contract position based out of Lithia Springs, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
