Overview
Spatial and tabular data can contain deep insights into how the world works, but detecting patterns and gaining insights can be extremely difficult, especially when using huge datasets. We are looking for someone passionate about helping our users overcome these issues. We want to hear from you if you are interested in improving and expanding on new space-time analysis techniques for big data. As part of the GeoAnalytics team, you'll help decide how GIS professionals investigate and analyze their big data. You will help design and test new tools and APIs and present cutting-edge methods to users through documentation and presentations.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse team of developers and product engineers to build, and deliver new tools and APIs for big data analysis (such as data science, Spark, machine learning)
- Deploy and test in cloud environments
- Define user requirements and apply best practices
- Create and execute high-quality test plans
- Document newly developed functionality, APIs, and processes
- Build, document and present analysis workflows
- Create and ship quality software by working in an agile, highly interactive, creative team environment
- Troubleshoot and triage customer issues
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in spatial analysis or GIS, utilizing Python, R, or another high-level programming language
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical presentation and interacting with colleagues across organizations
- Proven ability to work in teams
- Bachelor's in computer science, GIS, statistics, or related field
Recommended Qualifications
- Master's in computer science, GIS, statistics, or related field
- Experience with Apache Spark or Apache Hadoop
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Amazon EMR, Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Google Data Pro
