Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems for various industrial applications. You will collaborate with a team of talented engineers to develop, test, and maintain control systems that drive our innovative machinery and equipment. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about automation, system integration, and machine integration, and who are eager to apply their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement control systems for industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
2. Develop detailed control panel designs and perform programming for Rockwell automation, PLC Siemens, and Allen Bradley PLC.
3. Work closely with the design engineering team to integrate controls into overall system designs.
4. Conduct FEA and implement design for manufacturability principles to enhance product performance and production efficiency.
5. Utilize Cognex vision systems for quality control and automation purposes.
6. Oversee system and machine integration, ensuring seamless operation across all equipment and processes.
7. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical controls, and other related systems.
8. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system design specifications, test plans, and operation manuals.
9. Keep abreast of advancements in the field of mechatronics and controls engineering, and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Controls Engineering.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on controls integration and automation.
3. Proficiency in 3D printing and design engineering, with a solid understanding of FEA and design for manufacturability principles.
4. Experience with control panel design and programming for Rockwell automation, PLC Siemens, and Allen Bradley PLC.
5. Familiarity with Cognex vision systems and packaging automation.
6. Experience with system integration and machine integration in an industrial setting.
7. Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, electrical controls, and mechatronics.
8. Proficiency in RSLogix and HMI programming.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
10. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
