Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled IT Systems Professionals within the Enterprise Operations Classified IT team, supporting the Aeronautics business area. As a Systems Engineering IT Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership and operational management to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services and support for various classified programs. What you'll do:
* Assign tasks, collect feedback, and provide performance appraisals for direct reports
* Conduct staffing and manpower planning, including interviewing and hiring personnel
* Define and communicate staffing priorities and funding requirements
* Foster career development and employee growth as technical contributors, program leads, functional leaders, and future business leaders
* Establish and implement organizational training and development plans
* Guide resolution of technical issues across programs within technical discipline
* Provide technical leadership and oversight of program performance
* Ensure cost, schedule, and technical commitments are met for all programs and products
* Ensure the application of systems engineering principles and practices to support program activities across the full development life cycle
* Manage staffing and resource allocation across programs to meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements
* Support strategy development and implement continuous improvements
* Drive the adoption of emerging technologies and digital transformation

Who you are:
You are a seasoned leader with a strong background in systems engineering and IT operations, and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams. You have excellent technical leadership and oversight skills, with the ability to guide resolution of technical issues and ensure cost, schedule, and technical commitments are met. You are a strategic thinker with a passion for driving the adoption of emerging technologies and digital transformation. You have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and foster employee feedback, recognition, and engagement. You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, as required by the position.

Basic Qualifications

Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a security clearance, as required by the position (ship required).
Significant experience leading multi-discipline Systems IT teams, preferably in a classified environment
Experience with effective project management
Experience with managing JSIG / Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Knowledge of Agile DevSecOps principles and methodologies
Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly across organization boundaries
Self-motivated with ability to identify and drive process improvements.
Capable of building effective relationships with teams and subject matter experts

Desired skills

Proven ability to develop and implement digital transformation strategies, leveraging technologies such as cloud, DevSecOps, and automation, to drive business innovation and integrate with existing IT platforms.
Experience with IT service management leveraging Agile processes, Kanban, and other iterative methodologies to deliver efficient and effective IT services.
Ability to design and implement meaningful metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure IT service delivery, increase service flow efficiency, and enhance overall customer experience.
Proven experience leading cloud migration strategies, including planning, execution, and optimization of hybrid cloud environments, with a focus on security, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Active Top Secret
DoD 8570 Certification Level II
Knowledge of Special Access Programs

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
