Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract in Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a key role in automating infrastructure, improving CI/CD processes, enhancing system reliability, and supporting the development and operations teams to deliver high-quality software efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage scalable and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Monitor system performance, availability, and scalability.
Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth deployment and operations.
Maintain and improve security, compliance, and backup strategies in cloud or hybrid environments.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in staging and production environments.
Support containerization and orchestration strategies (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3 7 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering role.
Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps.
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm).
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration.
Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications in AWS, Azure, or other relevant platforms.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Knowledge of compliance and security best practices (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools like Splunk, New Relic, Datadog.
