Job Title: SAP FICO Consultant Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Employment Type: Contract, W2 Only (NO C2C) Duration: 12+ Months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO (Finance and Controlling) Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules, with hands-on experience in implementation, configuration, and support. You will work closely with finance teams and business stakeholders to optimize financial processes, ensure compliance, and enhance reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize SAP FI (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis) modules.
• Define and implement New GL (New General Ledger), document splitting, and parallel accounting.
• Set up tax configurations (VAT, Withholding Tax, etc.), payment methods, and dunning processes.
• Integrate SAP FICO with other modules (MM, SD, PP, PS) and external systems.
• Provide ongoing support for SAP FICO issues, including troubleshooting and resolving defects.
• Lead or participate in upgrades, migrations, and S/4HANA transformations.
• Develop and optimize financial reports (Financial Statements, Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss), including customization of SAP Fiori apps.
• Design and implement month-end/year-end closing processes.
• Collaborate with finance teams to streamline processes (e.g., AR/AP automation, fixed asset management, intercompany reconciliations).
• Configure and support Controlling modules (Cost Center, Internal Orders, Profitability Analysis) for management reporting.
• Work on integration with third-party tools (Concur, BlackLine, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX, and local statutory requirements.
• Manage audit trails, document controls, and security roles related to FICO.

Required Skills & Experience

• 13+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience (implementation, configuration, support).
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA) and CO (CCA, PCA, CO-PA, CO-PC).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance (preferred) or ECC 6.0.
• Proficiency in integration with MM, SD, and other SAP modules.
• Ability to write functional specs for custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs).
• Knowledge of IDOCs, BAPIs, and LSMW for data migration.
• Familiarity with Fiori, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), or BW for reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA certification in Finance.
• Experience with Central Finance (CFIN), Group Reporting, or Treasury modules.
• Knowledge of BRF+, FIORI apps, or RPA for finance automation.
• Exposure to cross-functional projects (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, system consolidations).
