Job Summary:
We are urgently seeking a Guidewire BillingCenter Technical Lead to support a key implementation and ongoing support project. This role is both hands-on and leadership-focused, involving BillingCenter configuration, integration, team coordination, and stakeholder communication.
Responsibilities:
Lead technical implementation and rollout of Guidewire BillingCenter across multiple states.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior Guidewire developers.
Work directly with business users to understand requirements, assess feasibility, and guide offshore team accordingly.
Spend at least 40% of time on hands-on BillingCenter development (configuration + integration).
Review PCF configuration, business rules, and data models from offshore teams.
Coordinate and resolve production issues, including defects and incidents.
Collaborate with integration owners and third-party providers to ensure uptime and issue resolution.
Communicate team status, timelines, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.
Technical Skills Required:
Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter, including configuration and state rollouts.
Knowledge of billing methods, invoice structures, delinquency workflows, cancellations, disbursements, commissions, batch scheduling, etc.
Guidewire Gosu development and experience with APIs, rules, and internal processes.
Experience integrating with web services (SOAP, REST, XML, WSDL).
Familiarity with application servers: JBoss, Apache Tomcat, WebSphere.
Experience with SQL Server / DB2, and version control tools like SVN.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Full life-cycle experience in at least one end-to-end BillingCenter implementation.
Exposure to other Guidewire modules (e.g., PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter) is a plus.
Prior experience in a client-facing or onsite-offshore coordination role is an advantage.
