Job Description Local or nearby Language Proficiency: Fluent in French or Portuguese ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS The Global Support Contractor will act as the secondary point of contact for ALSAC s global foundation partners in the Sub-Saharan Africa, providing comprehensive support to the Senior Regional Liaisons in all foundation-related matters. This role is pivotal in enhancing the fundraising and organizational capacity of our international partners. - Supports the Sr. Liaison, helping to strengthen the fundraising and organizational capacity of our international partners.
- Maintains in the team s CRM, up-to-date knowledge of facts relating to revenue, priority education opportunities, and challenges.
- Provides program support including language for all programs ALSAC s provides.
- Plans and executing foundation assessments as well as participates in any workshops.
- Drafts all assessment reports and works in collaboration with the Sr. Regional Liaison to create strategic growth plans for ALSAC senior management.
- Collaboratively works with ALSAC subject matter experts and alliance members to organize coaching/shadowing initiatives.
- Supports processes to support internal operations of ALSAC Global team.
- Organizes logistics for all ALSAC and Foundation Alliance Member travel, ALSAC led workshops, and onsite and abroad events.
REQUIREMENTS - Very strong communication and interpersonal skills, and public speaking skills.
- Requires demonstrated skill in working within a complex environment at senior levels with strong capabilities in planning, organization, and management.
- Requires occasional travel and work locations on an international basis on weekends and evenings when necessary (travel up to a few times a year).
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
- Clear understanding of global cultures and experience in global work.
- Organizes and supports all communications with assigned foundation partners with monthly calls and all new programs.
- Cultural and regional awareness/knowledge of the supported area, including understanding how culture influences communications, interactions, and regional relationships.
- Knowledge of fundraising, operations, marketing and public relations, is beneficial.
REQUIREMENTS - Experience in data entry, note-taking, and supporting leaders (regional leaders, liaising).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including basic Excel skills.
- Minimum of 3-4 years in a similar role preferred (Open to candidates who satisfy language requirements in lieu of requested years of experience).
