Role: Visual Designer & VisionOS App Developer
Location: Greensboro, NC (Onsite/Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months contract

Overview:
Seeking a developer/designer to create immersive AR applications for Apple Vision Pro (visionOS) and MacOS, enabling real-time visualization of transportation design concepts. Collaborate with industrial designers, UX teams, and engineers to prototype and deliver spatial computing tools that enhance the design review process in the transportation sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop immersive mixed-reality applications for visionOS and MacOS focused on transportation design visualization.

  • Integrate real-world CAD models into interactive AR/VR environments for design reviews and virtual walkthroughs.

  • Build real-time applications to track user interactions and inform design decisions.

  • Create photorealistic and optimized visualizations for design and marketing purposes.

  • Prototype intuitive, spatial UX interfaces tailored to industrial/commercial vehicle workflows.

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure accurate, high-performance rendering of transportation designs.

  • Optimize 3D assets and application performance for Apple's Vision Pro platform.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Obj-C, C++/C, Swift; knowledge of Python, Java; adaptable to new languages.

  • Strong understanding of iOS/macOS libraries, frameworks, and Swift concurrency APIs.

  • Experience in AR/VR spatial computing, scene optimization, and real-time performance tuning.

  • Proficiency with 3D tools (Rhino, Alias, Blender, CAD) and rendering platforms (KeyShot, VRED, Unreal Engine).

  • Skilled in converting/optimizing complex transportation CAD models for real-time AR.

  • Strong grasp of materials, lighting, scene composition for photorealistic results.

  • Experience prototyping mixed-reality UI/UX flows for industrial design visualization.

  • Knowledge of 3D asset pipeline integration (Blender, Autodesk tools, Unity, SwiftUI).

Preferred Skills:

  • Advanced mathematics for 3D real-time apps (linear algebra).

  • Human-centered design experience in AR/VR.

  • Automotive or transportation industry background.

  • Portfolio of mixed-reality or visualization tools.
