Job Details

Locations: Chandler, AZ (TOP LOCATION PREFERENCE) Charlotte, NC (Brevard second location choice) 3 days onsite, 2 days remote weekly (Manager will be open to Minneapolis, Dallas, and SFO as last resort)

Duration: 12 months likely to be extended based on project need/performance

** This role requires deep design and engineering skills in addition to a keen ability to communicate ideas in written and verbal form across a variety of audiences

** Manager is NOT interested in candidates that are doing operational support work on cloud environments candidates MUST be highly skilled Cloud Engineers with experience in the IAM space

Mission:

This resource is needed to help drive the effort to secure public and private Azure cloud infrastructure specifically from the angle of the Credential Management & Directory Services group

Must Haves:

Senior level Azure Cloud Engineering experience
Must be an expert in Azure Cloud Security (deep knowledge of Azure Cloud Security ex: how to secure environments with Azure AD Connect, Azure PIM, MS Defender for Identity, KQL, Conditional Access, Azure MFA)
Engineering experience specifically in the Cloud Security and IAM space must understand conditional access policies and understand Azure Security from an IAM perspective
Strong experience with IaC specifically with Terraform
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Day to Day:

Hands on Azure Cloud Development designing and engineering authentication solutions including controls and policies relating to the authentication and authorization for the end client
Designing and implementing secure Azure environments
Developing, maintaining, and reviewing Terraform modules and configurations to provision and manage secure Azure resources
Automating the deployment of security controls and configurations through IaC
Clearly communicating complex security concepts and risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Mentoring junior engineers on Azure security best practices
