Job Details

Job Title:
AWS Architect with Application Development Background (Java)
Atlanta, GA (5 days onsite per week)

Domain:

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Experience:

  • 15+ years overall IT experience, primarily in Application Development and Application Management

  • 10+ years in architecture: application architecture and cloud architecture

  • 3+ years hands-on AWS experience:

    • EC2

    • RDS

    • S3 / Block Storage

    • Data Migration

Technical Expertise:

  • Application migration from on-premises to AWS Cloud and/or modernization of migrated applications

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): CloudFormation or Terraform

  • Automation of cloud provisioning/deprovisioning using CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts

  • Strong background in Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture

  • Solid understanding of microservices design principles, patterns, and anti-patterns

  • Working experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tooling

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in FinOps (Cloud Financial Operations)

  • AWS Certifications:

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)

    • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Engineer)
