Role: Product Owner with P&C Insurance and Claims
Location: Atlanta, GA
W2 Contract Role
JD:
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team for P&C insurance products.
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring features are well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
Gather, analyze, and document detailed business and functional requirements related to Claims, Underwriting, and policy lifecycle.
Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, and Policy Servicing teams to define user stories and acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including UX/UI, QA, and developers to deliver high-quality insurance solutions.
Drive product roadmap planning and feature release cycles based on market trends and internal strategy.
Conduct regular backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews.
Monitor product performance and iterate based on user feedback and business KPIs.
Ensure all solutions are compliant with insurance regulatory standards and support operational efficiency.
Serve as the voice of the customer, representing end-user needs within the development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in the insurance domain.
Strong domain expertise in P&C insurance, with a focus on Claims and Underwriting processes.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Proven ability to write clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases.
Familiarity with insurance systems such as policy administration systems (PAS), claims management platforms, and underwriting tools.
Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar.
