We are looking for a Principal Digital Solution Designer, a director level position, who will become intimately familiar with our digital capabilities and practices and how we utilize those to approach new projects and clients. The Principal Digital Solution Designer will be a practitioner, putting our playbook and proprietary estimator to work to design comprehensive solutions with quality and consistency. This individual will be accountable to ensure that the solutions we propose are aligned with the customer's needs, expectations, and budget. This individual will define a solution that meets or exceeds customer needs and expectations, articulate the roadmap (time, cost, entry criteria, exit criteria, etc.) to get there, and be a balanced advocate for the needs of both the customer and the solution delivery functions as the solution is shaped and defined. The Principal Digital Solution Designer is someone who can act as a strong advocate for the customer, the solution, and the partnering teams.

The Principal Digital Solution Designer will be an assignment coach for other individuals within the Digital Solutions organization serving the role of Solution Designer. They will provide coaching and guidance to other Solution Designers to ensure their solutions are comprehensive with quality and consistency.

To be successful, this individual will have a history of developing and delivering successful technology projects within the digital space. They will have experience developing solution architectures, project estimates, staffing plans, defining bounding assumptions and requirements. They will have excellent professional communication and collaboration skills as they will be a primary point of contact across Maximus business development and operations organizations. Finally, this individual will have experience as a leader, demonstrating servant leadership qualities and behaviors to ensure the others they support are successful in their own roles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Design digital solutions that meet or exceed customer needs and expectations, using design thinking, lean, and agile methodologies. - Estimate time, cost, and resources required to deliver the proposed solutions, using a proprietary estimator tool. - Present and pitch the solutions to internal and external-to-Digital stakeholders, including senior executives and customers. - Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, such as business development, operations, technology, and user experience, to ensure alignment and integration of the solutions. - Manage and mitigate risks associated with the solutions, such as technical feasibility, scalability, security, and compliance. - Evaluate and validate the effectiveness and impact of the solutions, using data and feedback from users and customers. - Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the digital space. - Coach and mentor other solution designers and digital practitioners, sharing knowledge and expertise. - Support business development activities, such as identifying new opportunities, conducting market research, and developing proposals. - Demonstrate thought leadership and innovation by contributing to the digital playbook. Minimum Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in related field required. - 10-12 years of relevant professional experience required.

- Accountable for the thoroughness and accuracy of the Digital solution design.
- Estimate time, cost, and resources required to deliver the proposed solutions, using a proprietary estimator tool.
- Present and pitch the solutions to internal and external-to-Digital stakeholders, including senior executives and customers.
- Serve as the point of contact for Digital Solutions customers. Staying connected throughout the solution design process and acting as a thought leader in the digital space for customers.
- Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, such as business development, operations, technology, and user experience, to ensure alignment and integration of the solutions.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with the solutions, such as technical feasibility, scalability, security, and compliance.
- Evaluate and validate the effectiveness and impact of the solutions, using data and feedback from users and customers.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the digital space.
- Coach and mentor other solution designers and digital practitioners, sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Support business development activities, such as identifying new opportunities, conducting market research, and developing proposals.
- Demonstrate thought leadership and innovation by contributing to the digital playbook.
- Contribute to the maintenance of common estimators for digital solutions based on historical data, benchmarks, and industry standards.
- Reports to the Senior Director, Digital Solution Design and supports them in leading and managing the Digital Solutions practice.
- Lead others in helping them ensure quality, comprehensiveness, consistency, and accuracy in their digital solution designs.

- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
- 10-12 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Experience with designing and delivering digital solutions for various industries and domains.
- Experience with the development of solutions plans for technology projects
- Experience with estimating and developing staffing plans for technology projects
- Experience with software project management and/or program management
- Experience in a variety of digital technologies
- Experience working with clients, customers, and stakeholders

- Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
