Job Details

Role: Sr. Oracle Database Administrator

Duration: 12+ Months Location: Remote

Seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and migrate our mission-critical Oracle and Postgres environments (SQL Server a plus). We need professionals who can work independently with minimal supervision, joining the team ready to deliver from day one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform core Oracle Database Administration tasks including user creation and role management.
  • Conduct advanced performance tuning, especially in Exadata environments.
  • Lead AWS migration efforts from on-prem Oracle databases.
  • Setup and manage Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
  • Execute re-domaining of databases in clustered environments (e.g., migrating from companyabc.com to companyxyz.com).
  • Utilize Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and performance management.
  • Work with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for cloud-based deployments and operations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle database administration.
  • Proven experience with Oracle 15-18, Exadata, RAC, and Data Guard.
  • Strong understanding of cloud migration strategies, especially to AWS and OCI.
  • Experience with re-domaining processes in enterprise environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

 

Education:

Bachelor s degree in computer science, information Systems, or related discipline.

This role is open to W2 or those seeking Corp-Corp employment.
The salary range for this role is 105-110 k/annum or Corp-Corp rates please contact the recruiter.
