JOB DESCRIPTION

  • We are looking for a motivated and skilled Java Developer with solid hands-on experience in Spring Boot and API Gateway (Apigee).
  • Candidates with exposure to Guidewire (PolicyCenter/BillingCenter) and Gosu programming will be preferred.
  • This role is ideal for someone eager to work on enterprise insurance platforms and API-centric architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Develop and manage APIs using Apigee API Gateway including proxy development, security policies, and API analytics.
  • Collaborate with Guidewire developers and integrate backend systems with Guidewire PolicyCenter or BillingCenter.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code using Gosu when required.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and optimizing application performance.
  • Work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver business requirements.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables in terms of performance, security, and maintainability.

Primary Skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful API development.
  • Hands-on experience with Apigee API Gateway API proxy, policies, OAuth, security, and rate limiting.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and build tools like Maven/Gradle.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

  • Working knowledge of Guidewire Suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter).
  • Proficiency in Gosu programming language for extending or customizing Guidewire functionality.
  • Experience with integration frameworks like JMS, Kafka is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in backend/API development.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Insurance domain experience is a plus.
