Accountabilities:

Senior Process Engineers are responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing and logistics buildings at the Frederick Manufacturing Center (FMC) for troubleshooting, modifications and improvements related to process, clean-in-place, steam-in-place, washing, and sterilizing equipment systems.

Senior Process Engineers understand engineering principles (fluid dynamics, heat transfer, etc.) and how they are applied to the operation of the production equipment. They will have the ability to use process data (i.e. temperature, pressures, flows, valve operations, etc.) to solve equipment-related problems, and have a desire to continuously improve our processes by identifying root causes and defining corrective/preventive actions with equipment and automated systems.

Minimum Skills/Experience:

- 5-12 Years of Engineering Experience in GMP Manufacturing or Related Industry
- BA/BS Degree in Engineering / Life Sciences
- Experience working in a regulated industry (i.e. Oil & Gas, Medical, etc...)

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Project Management Experience
- Direct GMP Engineering Experience in Biologics Manufacturing
- Fundamental understanding of biopharmaceutical processes and equipment
- Knowledge of Downstream Biologics Operations (Chromatography columns, Viral inactivation, Ultrafiltration, Diafiltration, Freeze/thaw)
- Knowledge of Upstream Biologics Operations (Incubators, Bioreactors, Centrifuges, Pasteurizer)
