Solugenix is assisting a client, a prestigious and large investment management company, in their search for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based out of Irvine, CA (Remote).
A Senior Strategic Sourcing Consultant is a highly experienced professional within Sourcing who leads the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies for complex goods and services. This role focuses on sourcing activities for the Investment Operations and Investment Group business areas within the client.
They will actively manage relationships with internal stakeholders with an emphasis on developing positive customer experience, drive end-to-end completion of source-to-pay processes, collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate favorable contract terms while ensuring compliance with company policies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, economics, or operations management.
- Experience in other disciplines is highly preferred but not required (e.g., Finance, Sales, Operations, etc.).
- 7+ years of advanced strategic sourcing experience with mastery of strategic and tactical procurement principles, practices, and models.
- Deep understanding of sourcing principles, sourcing methodologies, and contract law.
- Proficiency in data analysis, spend analytics, and financial modeling to identify cost savings opportunities.
- Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and achieve favorable terms for the organization.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant supplier markets, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation skills to all audience levels, including the ability to effectively conduct complex project/program meetings and influence others.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and change while working in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Strategic Sourcing Planning:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential suppliers and assess market trends.
- Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies for assigned categories, including cost reduction targets, supplier selection criteria, and risk mitigation plans.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear sourcing requirements.
- Lead the design and execution of Request for Information (RFI), Request for Quotation (RFQ), and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes.
- Analyze supplier responses, and evaluate proposals based on price, quality, delivery, and other relevant factors.
- Develops negotiation strategies and leads negotiations of complex contract provisions.
- Conduct complex contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring optimal pricing and terms while balancing risk and value.
- Develop and manage master agreements, including legal terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers. Ability to address supplier performance issues and drive continuous process improvement.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and KPIs.
- Analyze spending data to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Utilize cost modeling and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to evaluate sourcing options.
- Communicate sourcing strategies and progress to internal stakeholders, including senior management.
- Proactively manage expectations and address concerns related to sourcing activities.
Pay Range for CA, CO, IL, NJ, NY, WA, and DC: $96.55/hour to $96.55/hour. Starting rate of pay offered may vary depending on factors including but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
