Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to align IT strategy with business goals, developing enterprise-wide technology roadmaps and blueprints.
Architecture Design: Create and maintain enterprise architecture models, including business, data, application, and technology architectures, using frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions to enhance Verizon s infrastructure, applications, and services.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business units, IT teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of systems and processes.
Solution Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve system performance through architectural improvements.
Innovation Leadership: Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging cloud, AI, IoT, 5G, and other advanced technologies to support Verizon s strategic vision.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
Experience:
12+ years of experience in IT architecture, with at least 3 years in an enterprise architecture role.
Proven track record of designing and implementing complex, enterprise-scale solutions.
Experience in telecommunications or technology-driven industries is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), microservices, and API-driven architectures.
Familiarity with network technologies, including 5G, SDN, and NFV.
Proficiency in modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Enterprise Architect, or similar).
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, GDPR).
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and presentation skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence decision-making.
Certifications (preferred):
TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent architecture certification.
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect).
ITIL or PMP certification is a plus.
