Position Overview

The Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration (DFA), under the Mississippi Management and Reporting System (MMRS), is seeking a highly skilled SAP Financial Consultant to provide ongoing support for the SAP system. This position will be an integral part of the Finance team, collaborating with state resources to implement, enhance, and maintain the Mississippi Accountability System of Government Information and Collaboration (MAGIC) SAP system. The consultant will be responsible for supporting various SAP Financial ECC modules, including FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), FM (Funds Management), and GM (Grants Management).

Key Responsibilities

• Support and maintain the Mississippi Accountability System of Government Information and Collaboration (MAGIC) SAP system.
• Collaborate with state resources to enhance and implement various SAP Financial modules (FI, CO, FM, and GM).
• Assist in system configuration, testing, documentation, and post-implementation support.
• Troubleshoot issues related to SAP Financial modules and implement solutions as needed.
• Participate in user training, ensure system optimization, and provide expert guidance on financial reporting.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position. Only candidates who meet these requirements will be advanced for further consideration.

1. SAP ECC Implementation and Support: A minimum of 8 years of experience in implementing and supporting SAP Finance ECC modules.
2. Public Sector Experience: At least 3 years of experience working with an SAP Finance ECC solution for a public sector client.
3. Functional Expertise: Strong functional knowledge in the following ECC areas:
   • General Ledger (FI)
   • Funds Management (FM)
   • Controlling (CO)
   • Project Systems (PS)
   • Grants Management (GM)

Preferred Skills and Experience

While not required, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

1. Experience supporting SAP system integrations with other platforms such as Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Logistics, and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM).
2. Expertise in performing root-cause analysis and resolving system issues.
3. Experience working with the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
