Job Title: Google Cloud Platform Lead Developer
Location: Dallas, TX

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Google Cloud Platform Lead Developer with 10 15 years of total experience to drive end-to-end cloud data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform services, SQL, Python, and strong working knowledge of Teradata and SAS. This role requires leadership in building data frameworks, architecting scalable cloud solutions, and initiating migration projects from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

  • Architect and build data ingestion, transformation, and processing frameworks from scratch for large-scale migration projects.

  • Provide hands-on development using Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform-native services.

  • Collaborate with architects, stakeholders, and cross-functional engineering teams to define solution roadmaps and delivery plans.

  • Optimize legacy systems and lead migration of SAS/Teradata workloads to Google Cloud Platform-based architectures.

  • Establish coding standards, best practices, and reusable frameworks for data pipelines.

  • Conduct technical reviews, mentor engineering teams, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure reliability, scalability, and security across the data platform.

Required Technical Skills

Cloud & Data Engineering:

  • Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub, IAM)

  • Data pipeline orchestration and custom framework development

  • Experience initiating and executing cloud migration projects

Programming & Querying:

  • Advanced SQL (performance tuning, complex querying)

  • Python for ETL, automation, and framework building

Additional Required Skills:

  • Teradata (utilities, data warehousing, SQL optimization)

  • SAS (Base SAS, macros, data engineering workflows)

Qualifications

  • 10 15 years of experience in cloud development, data engineering, and enterprise-scale systems.

  • Proven experience in building frameworks and leading migration projects from scratch.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Experience working within Agile delivery models.
