Job Title: ServiceNow ITOM Tester

Location: San Francisco, CA



Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented ServiceNow ITOM Tester to validate and ensure quality delivery of IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The role requires strong functional and technical testing experience across ITOM modules, integrations, and discovery processes.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for ServiceNow ITOM implementations

  • Validate ITOM modules including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB

  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and user stories

  • Validate Discovery schedules, MID Server configurations, and CI data accuracy

  • Test integrations (REST/SOAP) with monitoring and third-party tools

  • Log, track, and retest defects using JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar tools

  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure quality releases

  • Support release cycles and production validation




Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience testing ServiceNow ITOM modules

  • Solid understanding of CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management

  • Experience in manual testing; exposure to automation is a plus

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery models

  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, ALM, ServiceNow)

  • Good analytical, documentation, and communication skills




Nice to Have

  • Experience testing integrations with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, SolarWinds, etc.)

  • Exposure to ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem)

  • ServiceNow CSA or ITOM certification
