Title: Drupal Developer
Terms of Employment
W2 Contract, 12 Months
This position is primarily remote. Candidates should be comfortable working onsite roughly twice per month in Baltimore, MD. Therefore, local candidates are required.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Drupal websites using Drupal 9/10/11 best practices.
Build and customize Drupal modules, themes, content types, views, and taxonomies.
Perform regular Drupal core, module, and theme updates, including security patches and version upgrades.
Troubleshoot and resolve application issues related to performance, functionality, security, and compatibility.
Implement and maintain CI/CD workflows, version control, and structured deployment processes.
Support development, staging, and production environments with proper configuration management.
Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and usability best practices.
Integrate third-party services and APIs (e.g., search, analytics, translation, CDN, forms, and chat tools).
Produce and maintain technical documentation, deployment notes, and configuration guides.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance activities.
Provide ongoing support and enhancements through a ticket-based support model and SLA-driven response process.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong Experience in Drupal Development:
o Custom Theme Development (Twig, libraries, regions, layouts)
o Custom Module Development & Configuration
o Content Types, Views, Taxonomies, Media Types, Blocks, Menus
o Search API Configuration, Cron, Caching, and Performance Tuning
o Multilingual Setup (Language Switcher, Translations)
o Acquia Cloud IDE & Drupal Site Administration
5+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Drupal websites.
Experience with Git-based version control and structured deployment workflows.
Knowledge of web security best practices, including SSL/TLS, access control, and secure coding standards.
Knowledge of relational databases, including MySQL and Neo4j
