Job Title: Sourcing Specialist II Technical (Google Fiber)
Location: Mountain View, CA (Hybrid/Remote Bay Area Preferred)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible Extension up to 12 Months)
About the Role
Google Fiber is seeking a Sourcing Specialist II to support the Technical Recruiting Team. This role will focus on identifying and engaging top-tier talent for technical and corporate functions, with an emphasis on software engineering, network, and infrastructure roles. The ideal candidate is a proactive talent hunter who can balance 80% sourcing and 20% recruiting, owning roles end-to-end when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and engage qualified candidates for technical and corporate roles across Google Fiber.
- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to understand business needs and define sourcing strategies.
- Conduct outreach, pipeline development, and candidate calibration for active and upcoming roles.
- Manage candidate relationships and maintain accurate data within Greenhouse ATS.
- Occasionally support full-cycle recruitment, including interviews, feedback, and offer facilitation.
- Track weekly sourcing activity and performance metrics (candidate outreach, conversions, and quality).
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in technical sourcing; strong understanding of technical roles (engineering, IT, security, etc.).
- Proven experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS platforms (preferably Greenhouse or Workday).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage hiring managers directly.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, high-growth environment and work independently.
- Bachelor s degree preferred but not required with relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 8 years of combined sourcing and recruiting experience (in-house or agency).
- Prior experience supporting large tech or telecom organizations (e.g., Google, Amazon, Microsoft, ISP/telecom).
- Background in full-cycle recruiting or experience working closely with hiring teams.
- Familiarity with KPIs for sourcing, including candidate conversion and pipeline quality metrics.
