Cybersecurity - Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Cybersecurity - Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to join the team in Titusville, FL; Houston, TX; or Huntsville, AL.

The selected candidate will ensure National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) programs are in adherence with NIST 800-53 Rev 5 changes, National Security Council actions, and other on-going expectations.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with the Information System Owners (ISOs) on the development, maintenance, and tracking of the System Security Plans (SSPs)
  • Coordinate required documentation and/or artifacts required to support the SSPs
  • Provide continuous monitoring
  • Software evaluation, incident handling, and policy communication to system users
  • Manage the Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) and Risk-Based Decisions (RBDs)
  • Conduct required self-inspections and support preparation for government
  • Conduct third party assessments across multiple sites, as required
  • Engage in NASA IT and Cyber compliance forums to understand NASA expectations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience working with Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements and implementation
  • 3+ years of experience assessing and documenting test or analysis data to show cyber security compliance
  • 3+ years of experience building relationships with internal and/or external customers

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • IAM Level 1 DoD 8140.01 (previously 8570.01) compliant certification (i.e. CAP, Security+ CE, CISSP, CASP, CISM, GSLC)
  • 3+ years of experience as an information system security officer (ISSO) or information system security manager (ISSM)

Safety Sensitive:

This is a NASA safety-sensitive position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.

NASA Access:

This position requires the ability to obtain access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
