Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst EHR Systems

12+ Months Longterm Contract
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Analyst with Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating the functionality, performance, and compliance of our healthcare applications with a strong focus on EHR workflows and data integrity. You will work closely with developers, clinicians, and product stakeholders to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute manual and automated test plans and test cases for EHR systems and related healthcare applications
Validate clinical workflows, charting functionality, medication management, order entry, and interoperability features
Perform integration testing with third-party systems, ensuring HL7/FHIR messaging accuracy
Document test results, log defects, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
Collaborate with Product Managers and Clinical SMEs to define acceptance criteria and test coverage
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) and support go-lives, upgrades, and patch testing
Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards, including HIPAA, HITECH, and relevant regional frameworks
Required Skills & Experience
12+ years of experience in QA or software testing, with at least 3 4 years focused on EHR systems
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows including patient intake, clinical documentation, order management, and results review
Experience testing HL7/FHIR integrations and familiarity with EMR/EHR interoperability standards
Proficiency with QA tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to write and maintain clear test documentation and reports
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with major EHR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, MEDITECH, Fusion Health)
Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Cypress)
Knowledge of healthcare data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 27001)
ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications
Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or DevOps environments
