Position: Test Lead(Medicaid)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Only Locals)
Duration: 6+ Months
Under limited supervision, manages projects through the full life cycle from project definition and approval through implementation and evaluation of all project deliverables. Provides guidance to the project team. May also serve in a lead role.
Client is in the process of transforming existing legacy Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) into modern, loosely coupled, seamlessly integrated, modular systems where the exchange of data and processes is seamless and automatic. This procurement and implementation represent one of the largest and most significant projects at DCH and will impact millions of Georgians with the goal of improving health outcomes and wellness and improving system performance and efficiency.
Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lead to coordinate and lead the testing efforts for the Medicaid Enterprise System Transformation initiative. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, ensuring the quality and functionality of the application, and managing a team of testers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define testing objectives, success criteria, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate /Facilitate with subject matter experts to author test strategies and use casesto exercise the Medicaid enterprise.
- Coordinate theexecution of multiple test phases including functional user experience,regression, integrations (API and Flat File), reports, and performance testing
- Identify, log, andmanage defects through the testing lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution.
- Develop, documentand orchestrate detailed test plans, test strategies, and test cases tovalidate the functionality and performance of the application.
- Coordinate withproject managers, module vendors, business analysts, and development teams tounderstand project requirements and timelines.
- Lead a team oftesters, providing guidance on testing methodologies, best practices, and useof testing tools.
- Solicit, assess,and recommend test automation tool(s)
- Coordinate theutilization of automated testing tools and scripts to enhance testingefficiency and coverage.
- Partner with MedicaidEnterprise module vendors and team leads to author cross-module test cases.
- Coordinate theexecution of cross-module test cases.
- Conduct riskassessments and provide recommendations to mitigate testing-related risks.
- Develop andmaintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testscripts.
- Monitor and reporton testing progress, including test execution metrics and defect status.
- Report testprogress, defects and risk to DCH executive leadership team and project sponsors
- Implementcontinuous improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness of the testingprocess.
- Partner withorganizational design term to design and resource the Medicaid Enterprisetesting center of excellence
Qualifications/ Preferred Qualifications
WorkingMulti-Module and Multi-Vendor Environment
Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Experience with both manual and automated testing, including the use of testing tools.
Coordination of Cross-Functional Testing
Development of Integrated Master Test Plan
RequirementsTraceability

Effectivecommunication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate ateam.
Knowledge oftesting in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Familiarity withproject management and collaboration tools.
Medicaid /Healthcare (strongly preferred)
Familiarity withCenter for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) testing standards and framework(strongly preferred)
State Government /Public Sector (preferred)

ISTQB CertifiedTester Advanced Level or equivalent certification (preferred)

Education
Bachelor's degreein computer science, information technology, or equivalent experience.
