Location: Remote or Hybrid (Preferred locations: Northern Virginia]) Department: Data, AI, and Intelligent Automation Team Corporate IT

Position Overview:
Seeking aMachine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist IIto join our Data, AI, and Intelligent Automation team within Corporate IT. In this role, you will design, develop, and support internal AI/ML/IA use cases while contributing to the build-out of our Internal AI program. You will work on diverse projects ranging from predictive modeling to deploying advanced AI solutions, ensuring scalability and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Learning Development:Build and optimize machine learning models, including ARIMA, regression, classification models, LDA, topic modeling, and other statistical techniques to support internal use cases.
  • Deep Learning Expertise:Develop and fine-tune deep learning models, including large language models (LLMs) and small language models (SLMs), to address complex business challenges.
  • AI/ML Operations:Utilize Snowflake Cortex AI features (or Databricks ML Ops tools such as MLFlow and workflows) to deploy and manage machine learning pipelines.
  • Agentic AI Solutions:Implement agentic AI frameworks using open-source packages like LangGraph and LangFlow to enable intelligent automation.
  • CI/CD Integration:Collaborate with development teams to integrate machine learning workflows into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Copilot and other tools.
  • Business Analysis:Leverage prior business analysis experience to understand stakeholder requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in machine learning, data science, or AI development.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in machine learning.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and deep learning libraries.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex AI features or Databricks ML Ops tools (MLFlow, workflows).
  • Knowledge of agentic AI frameworks and open-source packages like LangGraph and LangFlow.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Copilot for code development and deployment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in business analysis or working directly with stakeholders to define requirements.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and their AI/ML services.
  • Experience with Snowflake s latest AI features is a plus.
