Description
Our client is seeking a Telecommunications Project Manager to join their team in Columbia, MD. They offer cutting edge engineering solutions for communication companies, wireless carriers, and tower owners nationwide. They have expanded their traditional customer base in the local market, and are looking to backfill their current Telecommunications PM locally.
This is an Engineering position with PM duties. Candidates should have an in-depth background in A&E engineering including design review (AutoCAD Civil 3D), drafting, MACRO roof top sites, structural engineering, structural analysis, TELCO D markings, deliverables, project plans, job setup, costs, labor, BOM, MOP, SOW, RFPs, PNL, etc.
Day to day can include but is not limited to:
  • Manage projects and clients as primary point of contact.
  • Review advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.
  • Responsible for the quality control/quality assurance process on all assigned projects.
  • Participate in formulating and coordinating proposals and provide other marketing and business development support.
  • Identify and develop opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Negotiate with clients on any scope changes relative to project budgets and schedules subject to supervisors' approval.
  • Responsible for meeting predetermined goals on productivity targets and financial aspects of projects including profit, unbilled, accounts receivable, and direct the Project Accounting team on project invoicing.
  • Manage a maximum of 4 direct reports.

This position holds expectations of being a hybrid position (2 days in the Columbia office/3 days remote). Workload is expected to be 90% in office (home/remote) and 10% in the field via site visits.
Candidates should also be open to business development efforts, sales, and professional communication with end clients to help acquire new business. Candidates should also be open to travel within the DMV (can use a company vehicle or receive mileage reimbursement).
Top Skills Details
1. 5+ years of A&E engineering (structural preferred, basic understanding of AutoCAD/civil 3D review is needed, no design experience needed).
2. 2+ years of project management experience (Telecommunications preferred).
3. The ability to think outside the box, make recommendations, stake holder communication, cross-functional team support, reliability, etc.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $154000.00/yr.
