Job Details

Job Title: Automation Engineer Packaging & Assembly Lines (Pharma)
Location: On-site Indianapolis, Indiana
Contract Duration: 18 24 months

Industry: Pharmaceuticals / Biotechnology

Key Responsibilities:
Design, program, and modify automation systems for pharmaceutical packaging and assembly lines.

Develop and troubleshoot PLC and HMI applications (primarily Allen Bradley).

Support DeltaV DCS configuration and optimization.

Participate in commissioning and qualification (C&Q) activities of equipment and automation systems.

Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure compliant and efficient system performance.

Conduct system troubleshooting and root cause analysis for automation-related issues.

Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA regulations, and company SOPs.

Prepare technical documentation including protocols, test scripts, and validation reports.

Requirements:
3 7 years of experience in industrial automation; minimum 2 years in pharmaceutical or biotech environments.

Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs, Rockwell Automation, and DeltaV DCS systems.

Hands-on experience in programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and validating automation systems.

Strong understanding of automation in GMP-regulated environments.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.

Must be able to work full-time on-site in Indianapolis.
