Job Description:

Job Title - Senior Security Engineer

Duration: Approximately 10 months

Location: Fully Remote

Purpose of the Team

The team is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to enhance the security of cloud and on-prem infrastructure through advanced security controls and tooling. This includes both standards-based and custom-built solutions. The engineer will lead initiatives across multiple organizations to elevate infrastructure protection, focusing on creating internal configuration settings to address security risk gaps.

Key Projects
  • Develop configuration settings for various platform technologies
  • Define and implement high-level security requirements
  • Create security baselines-collections of configuration settings aligned with enterprise security standards

Candidate Requirements
  • 10+ years in the field
  • Degree preferred
    • Strong technical background with hands-on implementation experience
    • Able to provide concrete examples of OS/cloud security work
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
    • Requires technical depth not just program management
  • Speed and quality of deliverables are essential
  • Ability to collaborate across teams is essential
    • 5+ years - Cloud Security
    • 5+ years - Network/OS Server Security
    • 5+ years - Identity and Access Management

Summary

This role requires a seasoned security engineer to lead efforts in securing cloud and on-prem infrastructure at scale. The engineer will align standards, processes, and technologies across the enterprise, identify systemic gaps, and develop security baselines and controls. Automation and secure-by-default principles are key to success in this role. The candidate will be a trusted expert, sharing knowledge and driving security excellence.

Job Responsibilities
  • 5+ years in technical program/product management, software engineering, or similar roles
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure and security operations
  • 5+ years general cybersecurity experience
  • 3+ years experience with scalable security configuration and tooling
  • Experience owning large network/security architecture at a major service or cloud provider
  • Customer-facing experience supporting complex infrastructure solutions
