The Boeing Company is seeking a Supplier Data Engineering Manager to lead the Supplier Data Engineering team in Tukwila, Washington.
We are seeking an experienced leader to manage the Supplier Data Engineering (SDE) team within Supply Chain Engineering. This team is comprised of expert Test Engineers and Product Support Engineers who collaborate closely with suppliers, supply chain teams, internal engineering stakeholders, and airline customers to identify and resolve gaps, support compliance, and uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability across our supplier base.
As Manager of the SDE team, you will lead highly collaborative activities that support global aviation operations while driving continuous improvements in the accuracy and quality of aviation maintenance data. Your leadership will ensure supplier-provided maintenance data meets operational, regulatory, and safety requirements across the fleet
Position Responsibilities:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership across the SDE team, driving success, removing roadblocks, and supporting professional development.
- Develop and execute supplier shop verification assessments to ensure Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) meet quality, compliance, and usability standards.
- Manage critical engineering risks related to supplier maintenance data and provide clear direction on mitigation plans.
- Support the in-service supply chain by resolving technical issues associated with maintenance documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering functions on assessing service bulletins and regulatory mandated maintenance data.
- Partner with other Supply Chain Engineering managers to strengthen leadership team development and deliver technical training.
- Drive consistency in review processes, ensuring requirements are applied uniformly and safety/quality are prioritized.
- Establish metrics and reporting to provide leadership visibility into supplier performance, team throughput, and emerging risks.
- Foster knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical growth within the team to strengthen long-term expertise.
- Provide guidance to industry working groups on best practices for maintenance documentation.
- Represent Boeing at global aircraft maintenance industry conferences, promoting collaboration and industry-wide improvements in maintenance data quality.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 1+ years of experience leading or managing an engineering team.
- 3+ years of experience within an engineering component or system function team
- 3+ years of experience collaborating across multiple teams and functions.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience in a technical or engineering role, preferably in aerospace, aviation maintenance, or supplier support.
- Prior supplier-facing technical experience (data reviews, technical issue resolution, or supplier quality engagement).
- 2+ years of people management experience, including coaching and developing engineers.
- 1+ year of project management experience.
- Familiarity with airplane systems functions such as avionics, fuels, hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Direct experience with fleet support, service engineering, or in-service airline operations.
- Familiarity with ATA iSpec standards and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).
- Experience leading or contributing to process improvements in engineering or supplier data review.
- Working knowledge of airline maintenance operations and MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) practices.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and track engineering metrics (quality, timeliness, consistency).
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Experience representing an organization at external industry groups, conferences, or technical committees.
- Demonstrated interest in leadership development and building future technical leaders.
