Role Title: Director of Enterprise Testing Strategy and Governance
Employment Type: Contract
Duration: until end of the year with high chance of extensions/conversions
Preferred Location: Remote - working EST hours - travel occasionally to Buffalo, NY - expenses paid!
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Director of Testing to lead the establishment and operation of an Enterprise Testing CoE. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining the strategic direction, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement in testing processes across the bank.
You will also coordinate and take full ownership for all testing and integrations for a large financial transformation cloud ERP project
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the vision, mission, and strategic objectives for the Enterprise Testing CoE.
- Develop a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with the bank's business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Establish robust governance frameworks and processes for testing activities.
- Implement standardized testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify and address gaps in current testing processes and workflows.
- Lead a high-performing testing team, including hiring, training, and mentoring.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business units, and external partners, to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Communicate testing strategies, plans, and results to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven track record of establishing and managing testing Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in the banking or financial services industry.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud, SAP, etc)
