Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director to lead the growth and development of our Telecom Infrastructure & Cloud Solutions practice. As the face to the customer, you will be responsible for driving strategic discussions, identifying new business opportunities, and expanding into new areas beyond the current scope of support. You will have full responsibility for onsite operations in cloud and application infrastructure, ensuring the successful delivery of solutions while also positioning the organization for future growth. This role requires 10-15 years of experience in solution architecture, delivery leadership, and client relationship management, combined with a passion for driving business expansion and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Practice Growth & Development: Lead the development of the Telecom Infrastructure & Cloud Solutions practice, driving its growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding into new areas, and developing innovative service offerings that meet evolving client needs.
- Customer-Facing Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, driving strategic discussions and engagements to foster strong relationships, uncover new business opportunities, and deepen existing partnerships.
- Business Development: Actively engage in identifying and pursuing new business, either by expanding current service offerings or entering new areas of expertise outside the current support scope. Lead proposal efforts, deliver client presentations, and work with sales teams to secure new contracts.
- Onsite Operations Leadership: Take full responsibility for the onsite operations, ensuring the seamless execution of cloud and application infrastructure services. Oversee service delivery, quality, and timelines while managing resource allocation and client expectations.
- Strategic Solution Design: Lead the design and implementation of tailored solutions for clients, incorporating SRE, AWS/Google Cloud Platform, DevOps, and AI Ops principles to drive operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader in telecom infrastructure, cloud technologies, and application delivery, contributing to industry discussions and best practices while positioning the organization as a leader in the space.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead cross-functional teams across the organization, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative culture to drive delivery excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the successful execution of cloud and application infrastructure solutions, optimizing service delivery processes, and continuously improving quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Client Advocacy & Relationship Management: Proactively manage relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring customer satisfaction through continuous communication and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in delivery leadership, solution architecture, and client relationship management in cloud infrastructure, application infrastructure, and telecom solutions.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead practice development, manage cross-functional teams, and drive growth initiatives while overseeing complex delivery operations.
- Business Development: Strong track record of identifying new business opportunities, expanding service offerings, and entering new areas outside the existing support scope.
- Customer-Facing Expertise: Demonstrated success in driving client engagements, fostering relationships, and developing solutions that align with client business objectives.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Google Cloud Platform), DevOps, SRE, AI Ops, and telecom infrastructure (post-paid, prepaid).
- Operational Leadership: Ability to take full responsibility for the onsite operations of cloud and application infrastructure services, ensuring effective delivery and meeting client expectations.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to think strategically, lead the development of new solutions, and identify growth opportunities within the telecom and cloud domains.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced certifications in AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or other relevant cloud technologies.
- Experience leading large-scale telecom transformations, both post-paid and prepaid.
- Knowledge of AI/ML for operational use cases (AI Ops) and the ability to leverage these technologies to drive operational improvements.
