Job Title : System Admin.
Location : Arlington (Dallas), TX
Duration : Long T
Linux and Windows System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing both Linux and Windows servers to ensure smooth IT operations.
Installation & Configuration
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
System Management
- Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy on Windows.
- Handle Linux services such as Apache/Nginx, SSH, cron jobs, and firewalls.
Security & Compliance
- Apply patches and updates regularly.
- Monitor logs, implement intrusion detection, and enforce access controls.
User & Access Management
- Create and manage user/service accounts.
- Control permissions and enforce security policies.
Troubleshooting & Support
- Diagnose hardware/software issues.
- Provide technical support to end-users and IT teams.
Backup & Recovery
- Implement disaster recovery strategies.
- Manage backup solutions and test recovery procedures.
Performance Optimization
- Monitor system health and resource utilization.
- Tune servers for efficiency and reliability.
