Test Manager

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the design, planning, and execution of end-to-end testing strategies for retail accounting, merchandising, and supply chain systems.
2. Define comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test data to ensure coverage across all integration points and business processes.
3. Validate financial postings, inventory movements, item/location/vendor setups, and ensure data accuracy across upstream and downstream systems.
4. Collaborate closely with business users, product owners, developers, and cross-functional QA teams to understand requirements and ensure solution quality.
5. Drive defect management, including defect triage, prioritization, RCA coordination, and ensuring timely closure.
6. Ensure adherence to QA best practices, test governance, automation-ready test design, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
7. Support UAT planning and execution, ensuring user readiness, environment preparedness, and issue resolution.
8. Monitor testing metrics, provide quality dashboards, and communicate status, risks, and impacts clearly to stakeholders.
9. Identify process gaps, propose improvements, and ensure that testing practices support faster time-to-market and stable production deployments.
10. Promote a culture of quality, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the testing team.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 10 years of experience in testing enterprise applications with strong exposure to retail accounting, merchandising, or supply chain domains.
2. Hands-on experience in functional, integration, and regression testing of ERP or Oracle Retail applications (RMS, ReSA, ReIM, or similar).
3. Proven experience validating financial transactions, inventory accounting flows, and master data setups (items, suppliers, locations).
4. Minimum 5 years of experience leading QA teams, managing test cycles, UAT, and coordinating across business and technology stakeholders.
5. Experience working in Agile environments, implementing testing best practices, and driving continuous improvement.
6. Exposure to cloud-hosted applications or modern platform architectures is preferred.
7. Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills with the ability to translate business rules into testable scenarios.
8. Experience with automation-ready test design or working with automation teams is a plus.

Skills:

1. Retail systems expertise: RMS, ReSA, ReIM, RWMS, SIM, or equivalent merchandising/supply chain platforms.
2. Strong domain knowledge in:
1. Retail accounting, financial postings, stock ledger
2. Supply chain flows (POs, shipments, receiving, invoicing)
3. Testing tools: JIRA, Zephyr, ALM, qTest, or similar test management platforms.
4. Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
5. Understanding of integration technologies (APIs, messaging, batch jobs, EDI) is a plus.
6. Excellent stakeholder communication, problem-solving, and cross-team coordination skills.

Salary/ Rate: $50/hour (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
