As an Application Engineer you will help the Instruments Division by providing phone and email technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. You will respond to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. You will report design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. Hybrid onsite a minimum of two days per week; work shift is 10:30 AM EDT to 7:00 PM EDT.

What you will do:
- Provide the following levels of support associated with hardware and software applications:
- Level 1 Support: general inquiries, technical questions, troubleshooting, problem reproduction and basic procedural how-to questions
- Level 2 Support: installation and configuration items, technical queries such as local system set-up, applying technical solutions to challenges
- Level 3 Support: medium complexity configuration and technical items
- Problem management, partnering with cross functional leaders to help assess root causes to technical application issues.
- Provide phone and email support with the ability to log in remotely to help problem solve for technicians and customers.
- Critical thinking; trouble shooting, issue documentation and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with operations and engineering to review software enhancements and provide design feedback.
- Partner with Technical Support, Business Unit R&D, and Field Service to help drive customer solutions.
What you need
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree or 6+ years of additional relevant work experience post high school diploma
Preferred:
- 2+ years of Networking experience , Information Technology experience, Information Systems experience or Applications experience
- Customer facing support experience
