Responsibilities:

    \n
  • This is an on-site position at our Hudson and/or Stow Massachusetts facilities
  • \n
  • Assist the Facilities Department Manager in ensuring all building facilities and grounds are properly maintained and serviced. Documentation control of all outside contracts, including but not limited to HVAC, Fire Protection, Building Inspections etc.
  • \n
  • Properly maintain machinery for production including Oven's, Autoclaves, Paint and Grinding Booths, etc. for Composite Structures. This includes heavy loading with the use of cranes and gantries for molds and product.
  • \n
  • Uses of wide variety of tools, maintains records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
  • \n
  • Be able to take from design concept and bring to working, safe operation of equipment for personnel.
  • \n
  • Works with limited supervision, and take direct orders from skilled engineering, maintenance and production staff.
  • \n

Essential Job Function:

    \n
  • Good mechanical aptitude and good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • \n
  • Thorough understanding and ability to read schematics and blueprints/plans.
  • \n
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and tools. Using prints and/or schematics and following accepted troubleshooting protocol, identify and repair malfunctions.
  • \n
  • Perform walk-through inspections of facility to locate damage that require repairs. Check buildings and grounds for damage, for required service and fire or safety hazards.
  • \n
  • Perform solder and soft line repairs for plumbing, clearing drain blockages, repairing flush valves, installation of new vacuum and compressed air lines.
  • \n
  • Perform electrical repairs such as changing ballasts, replacing receptacles/switches, machine control wiring, including motor starters and high voltage panels.
  • \n
  • Perform carpentry/paint repairs to walls, floors, ceilings, doors, windows, etc. Change light bulbs, diffusers, lenses, etc. Change or clean building and production equipment air handling unit filters. Monitor and log equipment performance.
  • \n
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubricating, inspecting and adjusting all manufacturing and support equipment.
  • \n
  • Make recommendations to the Facilities Manager concerning improvements to the preventive maintenance system.
  • \n
  • Must be able to multitask, and perform several tasks at once, including safe operations for production employees and staff.
  • \n
  • Design and integrate production-related equipment using approved processes from Engineering staff and Facility Manager, including design build capabilities.
  • \n
  • Installation and setup of new and used equipment from other facilities.
  • \n
  • Must be fluent in Excel, filing, Word, and computer operations.
  • \n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • \n
  • $25.00 - $35.00 per hour.

Education

    \n
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • \n
  • An AA Degree or certification in assigned area is preferred.
  • \n
\n

Requirements

    \n
  • Requires sitting, standing, bending, stooping, reaching and climbing ladders. May require lifting up to 75 pounds. Requires manual dexterity including heights and be sufficient to operate standard construction equipment including but not limited to, fork truck, lift platforms, all maintenance tools and machines.

  • Required normal range of hearing and vision.
  • \n
  • Must be able to pass Ma. D.O.T. Physical, including drug testing.
