Job Details

Job Title: Principal Solution Architect

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Principal Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale IT solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise across application, data, infrastructure, and cloud architecture, as well as strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will provide strategic architectural guidance across the full software development lifecycle and ensure alignment with organizational goals, standards, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead enterprise architecture design efforts across application, integration, infrastructure, and cloud domains.

  • Drive solution strategy development and serve as lead architect across multiple projects and technologies.

  • Guide teams through the full SDLC using agile and DevOps methodologies.

  • Design and review solutions involving microservices, middleware, cloud-native platforms, and security frameworks.

  • Mentor technical teams, facilitate architectural reviews, and champion standards and governance.

  • Partner with stakeholders to define, estimate, and deliver technical solutions aligned with business needs.

  • Conduct proofs of concept and support vendor engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree and 10+ years of progressive IT experience (or 12+ years without a degree).

  • 5+ years of experience in two or more of the following areas: programming, database, integration, infrastructure/cloud, or security.

  • Proven experience in solution architecture across complex enterprise environments.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Knowledge of architecture modeling (e.g., UML, ArchiMate) and SDLC methodologies.

Preferred:

  • Health insurance industry knowledge and HIPAA compliance experience.

  • Hands-on expertise with modern tech stacks (e.g., Java, .NET, JavaScript, Kafka, Kubernetes).

  • Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
