Python Developer (Open-ended Contract, 100% Remote)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer for an open-ended contract position with a Private Equity Firm based in Austin. This role is 100% remote and involves working closely on a day-to-day basis with one of the Directors on the Credit team, focusing on the investment side of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Transformation and Reporting: Take data files in Excel format from the Credit team, merge and transform the data, and output to a set of reporting files.

Application Development: Create panel apps and Python scripts to facilitate data transformation and reporting.

Modernization and Automation: Assist in modernizing the data handling processes, moving them to the Data Platform and cloud for automation, and transitioning data from Excel to other pipelines and storage solutions.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Immediate Availability: Ready to start immediately.

Proficiency in Python: Strong experience with Python programming.

Experience with Panel: Familiarity with the Panel Python library.

Version Control and CI/CD: Exposure to git, GitLab (or similar), and CI/CD pipelines.

Data Libraries: Experience with data libraries like Numpy or similar is preferred.

Cloud Platforms: Exposure to Azure cloud services is highly desirable.

Power Platform: Familiarity with Power Automate and Power BI is a nice to have.
