Title: Systems Engineer
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 12+ month contract
Job Description:
Must have skills:
- Azure Active Directory
- Exchange online
- Powershell Scripting
- VMware
- Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
- Hands on technically good and can work with client and offshore team, work as bridge between client and Tavant and helping with ticketing, resolving issues.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in the below areas
- Windows Server Administration
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments (2012, 2016, 2019, or 2022).
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and file/print services.
- Perform routine server maintenance, updates, and patch management.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot server-related issues.
Exchange Management:
- Administering and configuring Exchange Online, including mail flow, mailboxes, distribution, and dynamic groups.
- Perform life cycle events such as creation, modification, movement, upgrade/downgrade, deletion, or transfer of data.
- Develop scripts for automating processes within the environment.
- Perform migrations and deployments related to the building, upgrade, and maintenance of MS Exchange.
User Management:
- Creating and managing user accounts, mailboxes, and permissions.
- Manage user provisioning, access control, and security group configurations.
- Create and manage security and distribution groups in Active Directory.
- Managing data loss prevention (DLP) and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Exchange Online
