Software Reverse Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:

As an embedded sof tware engineer, you know how to create and maintain cru cia l pieces of sof tware. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of sof tware, allowing them to communicate. We're looking for an experienced embedded sof tware engineer like you to develop technology for our clients' most important mission-forward challenges.

As a senior embedded sof tware engineer at Booz Allen, you'll support the development of systems, sit es, and tools for our clients. Using the latest tools and technology, you'll write, test, and edit code in support of the team's overall results. You'll expand your skills as you develop and reverse engineer sof tware that supports hardware functionality on a wide range of devices, as well as configure solutions based on the platform being used. You'll work with other team leaders to troubleshoot and correct operational issues, as well as with cybersecurity spe cia lists to ensure that the sof tware you're creating is secure.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience with exploit research and development
  • 6+ years of experience with operational met hodologies in support of offensive cyberspace operations
  • Experience with C or C++, Python, and Windows APIs
  • Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, Binary Ninja, WinDbg, x64dbg, or ProcDump
  • Experience with vulnerability discovery and weapon ization
  • Experience defeating kernel hardening, sandboxing, and attestation mechanisms
  • Experience with GitLab CI / CD for implant build pipelines
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer science or sof tware engineering field


Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with publishing research or tools recognized within the offensive security community
  • Experience providing operational support to IC or DoD cyber mission forces
  • Experience contributing to Windows exploit frameworks or public CVE discoveries
  • Knowledge of x86-64 architecture and assembly
  • Ability to achieve code execution in ring-0 and hypervisor contexts


Clearance :

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
