Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our team and help drive the evolution of the digital ecosystem-particularly as we unpack legacy data and reporting systems and transition to a modern cloud architecture.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Product Managers, Data Architects, and Agile delivery teams to plan, deliver, and optimize key products and services. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and tactical execution, with a strong understanding of SAFe methodologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive and manage cross-functional collaboration.
Key Projects
Data Ingestion & Transformation: Leading efforts to ingest source data from legacy systems and external partners, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance.
Data Modeling & Productization: Collaborating with data architects to design reusable, scalable data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
Cloud Enablement: Supporting the migration of data products to the new cloud platform, ensuring alignment with modernization efforts and cloud-native best practices.
User Enablement: Creating consumable and intuitive data sets for end users across business lines, including dashboards, APIs, and self-service tools.
Governance & Metadata: Partnering with governance teams to embed metadata, lineage, and access controls into the data product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Translate business needs into actionable user stories with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making.
Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data pipelines, governance, and reporting capabilities are embedded into product design.
Champion the use of data to inform backlog prioritization, customer experience improvements, and performance metrics.
Lead Agile ceremonies and ensure alignment across delivery teams, including data and infrastructure stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate risks related to data quality, cloud scalability, and system interoperability.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Product Owner in enterprise environments, preferably within financial services or cloud transformation initiatives.
Strong understanding of SAFe Agile practices and experience working in scaled Agile frameworks.
Familiarity with data platforms, data modeling, and analytics tools (e.g., Quicksight, Power BI, Tableau).
Experience with cloud-native product development and migration strategies.
Ability to synthesize complex data and technical inputs into clear product requirements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Daily Responsibilities:
Define and prioritize product features and requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and marketing.
Conduct market research to identify customer needs and industry trends.
Create and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business goals.
Monitor product performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
Technology Requirements:
Proficiency in data analytics tools such as SQL, Python, or R.
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Understanding of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
Degree or Certification required
Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
