Title: Enterprise Architecture

Location: Remote OR Seattle, WA

Length: 1 Year+

 

This position will support Enterprise Architecture work for the Utility Technology Roadmap, specifically focusing on Operational Technology while integrating with the needs across all areas of the utility business. The Enterprise Architect is required to ensure common data, technology and business architecture are used. This position requires an in-depth understanding of Utility business processes, the underlying business applications used to execute those processes. In this position, there is a requirement to quickly acquire an understanding of operations, the operating model, capability needs and business challenges specific to City Light, and will be responsible for creating a fully integrated business solution. The Enterprise Architect drives the translation of the business client s complex business problems into the selected technology solutions. This position will support architecture diagrams and documents for business capabilities, value streams, data, and technology.

Function as the architect of current and future OT technologies, working with business SMEs, Business Architects, IT Architect and other SME security, data, bpm, etc.

Establish the Architecture Review Board along with related processes and standards

Work with OT vendors to get the vendor roadmaps and incorporate into architecture

Work with IT architect on appropriate intersections of the IT/OT convergence

Create a vision and roadmap for OT systems, software and hardware

Be aware of and analyze what is out in the marketplace to take advantage of for OT

Advise at a high level the appropriate approach to resolving OT issues

Advise City Light business units about OT changes, upgrades, etc.

Provide technical quality control through all stages of OT projects.

Develop/create standards and guidelines for software upgrades and current technologies

Define strategies and best practice for implementation of operational technologies

Provide analysis and support for approval of OT purchases, working with business SMEs

Work with OT application portfolio and assist project teams to shape that portfolio to be consistent across platforms, roadmaps and standards for architecture and design

Work with IT Enterprise Architect to create consistent deliverables, roadmaps and standards

Work with Solution Architect on lifecycle of applications

Define standards to be used across OT
